TREVISO – Mourning in the world of Treviso art for the passing of Vincenzo “Pino” Pezzella, antiques dealer and art gallery owner who passed away at the age of 86. He had been hospitalized in Treviso hospital for a few days.

Born in Padua but originally from a family from Naples, Pezzella, a great lover of art, sport and life, was one of the characters in the square of the Treviso capital. Before dedicating himself to art he was a professional basketball player with Reyer Venezia, in the Serie A championship between the 1950s and 1960s.

His passion for art, first as a painter and then as an antique dealer, led him to also be vice president of the Treviso Antique Dealers group. In Treviso he had his own gallery in via Manin, then in via Fra Giocondo and in via Inferiore.

Pezzella leaves behind his sons Antonio, also an art gallery owner with a studio in Villorba, and Nicola. The funeral will be celebrated on Saturday 29 June, at 10.30 am, in the parish church of Villorba.
