Anpas national healthcare tournament, the Lucca area is Italian champion

The Lucca area on the roof of Italy: the team made up of the volunteers of the three Public assistance in Lucca (Green Cross Lucca, Green Cross Ponte a Moriano, Green Cross Porcari) was awarded fifth National health tournament organized by Anpas (National Association of Public Assistance) in Borgotaro, in the province of Parma.

The 3 Borders Tournamentso called because it was built in an area between Liguria, Tuscany and Emilia Romagna, saw the Lucca area prevail over numerous opponents: in fact they were 34 crews competing, coming from all regions of Italy, ready to compete on 6 different scenarios, located along the Val di Taro. Scenarios kept hidden from the participants until the end, aimed at recreating complex intervention situations in which all the skills of the rescuers were tested: from the relationship with the victims and those present to the use of radios and navigators, through collaboration with law enforcement and firefighters and the ability to quickly evaluate and decide on the most appropriate intervention methods.

“We are extremely satisfied with this result – he comments Daniele Massimo Borella, president of the Green Cross of Lucca – and I would like to congratulate the volunteers who participated, as well as the instructors. This is a success that once again confirms the quality of our training, now rewarded at a national level. Occasions like these – concludes Borella – they are essential for exchanging good practices, forming a group and, why not, getting some satisfaction: a recognition for all those who dedicate their time to Volunteering and caring for others.”
