Reggio, a weekend of theater with Officine Jonike Arti

A summer weekend full of theatrical events the one proposed by Officine Jonike Arti, capable of ranging from reflection to narration. We start with “Antigone. The dream of the butterfly” taken from a text by the Spanish philosopher María Zambrano, directed by Americo Melchionda and performed by Maria Milasi. A show that brings to the stage the profound philosophical reflections of Zambrano combined with the visions of Antigone in the form of all the affections denied by his existence (Ismene, Jocasta, Oedipus, the nurse Anna), as if they were shadows. The show is on stage in Bova, the jewel of the Grecanica area, Saturday 22 June at 7.30 pm, in the “Garden of Words” of the Rohlfs Museum. The appointment with the heroine of Thebes will be repeated Sunday 23 June at 7.30 pm in another precious site in the province of Reggio Calabria, at the Sala del Pozzo at the Fortino Poggio Pignatelli in Campo Calabro, where the show will take shape and life aided by the beautiful context. There is also space for narration with “The war of Paulinuzzu Millarti”, by and with Andrea Puglisi, winning show “Most South of Tunis” Award for interpretation, dramaturgy and direction on stage on Saturday 22 June at 7.00 pm at the Giardino Accademia Senocrito in Locri. Shows that bring arreflect, thanks to theatre, on the necessity and beauty of peace and the quality of forgiveness.

The production is curated by Officine Jonike Arti, a company currently recognized by the Calabria Region as a Theatrical Production Company and the show is co-financed with PSC Development and Cohesion Plan resources 6.02.02 – Public notice for the financing of Theatrical Production programs of the Calabria Region – Department of Education, Training and Equal Opportunities – Culture Sector.
