The partnership continues in Umbria for the administration of L’Aquila. Representing Mayor Pierluigi Biondi for the first time, a delegation from the Municipality of L’Aquila participated in an International Conference in the Municipality that was the birthplace of Braccio Fortebracci, known as Braccio da Montone. After the event of Perugia 1416 last June 16, with the presence of the Councilor for Social Policies Manuela Tursini and the Rosso d’Aquila Company, this is another reconciliation event for the celebrations of the secentenary of the leader’s death.

“I would like to thank the Municipality of Montone in the figure of the Mayor Mirco Rinaldi and its entire administration, for the invitation to this very important conference. Participating together with illustrious guests from the national and international scene was a source of great honor and pride” comments the Councillor Manuela Tursini.

“The rich history of Braccio Fortebraccio, his military innovations and his political skill represent topics of enormous interest and relevance. The conference provided precious opportunities for exchange and enrichment, contributing to a greater understanding of its historical and cultural influence which is underestimated” concludes the Councilor.

After the institutional greetings, Councilor Tursini donated the Ancient Civic Seal of the City of L’Aquila to the Mayor of the Municipality of Montone, as a sign of closeness between the two Municipalities, in the name of Braccio.
