Let’s bring a playground back to Villa Burba!

“Villa Burbaone of the main historical and cultural heritages of our municipality, was recently subjected to redevelopment works to improve usability and aesthetics. During such works – explains the Northern League councilor – the children’s games present have been removed, depriving the little ones of an important space for leisure and socialization. As reported to me by several familiesthe equipped play areas nearby Europa Park they are not sufficiently shaded, thus discouraging families from letting their children play there during the summer. The reintroduction of a play area in the external area of Villa Burbaequipped with adequate structures and shading, would represent a significant improvement for the community, meeting the needs of families and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for children.

For this reason – continues Colombo – I presented a motion this week to prepare a project for the installation of a play area equipped in the outdoor area of Villa Burba. As has often happened, even for Villa Burba the inhabitants of the neighborhood were not consulted on the needs and proposals for use of the spaces, preferring to impose projects from above to the detriment of those who live in these places. I trust in the sensitivity and sense of responsibility of those who lead the city, so that we proceed promptly with the implementation of this intervention for the well-being of the families and children of the neighborhood, already seriously compromised by the degradation in which Piazza Marinai d’Italia remains, for which we still don’t have answers about video surveillance despite promises made years ago!”
