Castellammare – 50-year-old threatens local police officers: reported
The man was caught and fined while speeding on an electric bike in Villa Comunale.
Counter the use of pedal-assisted bicycles in the Villa Comunale. The agents of the Local Police of Castellammare di Stabia sanctioned five people and reported a 50-year-old who will have to answer for charges of threatening and resisting a public official.
This is the outcome of a series of checks carried out by the personnel of the Municipal Police, Administrative and Commercial Police Section, under the orders of Commander Antonio Vecchione and coordinated by Lieutenant Donato Palmieri, during the morning of Sunday 23 June in Villa Comunale in order to counteract the circulation not permitted for electric vehicles

Five people were stopped, all adults, riding pedal-assisted bicycles and all were sanctioned in accordance with the current Highway Code. In particular, during the checks, a 50-year-old man from Stabia was reported for threatening and resisting a public official.
“The checks in the area will continue in the next few days. The safety of citizens is among our priorities and we will not tolerate irresponsible behavior that puts people’s safety at risk” – declared Luigi Vicinanza, mayor of Castellammare di Stabia.
