Three of the Lombardy teams of the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) are actively working on the summer transfer market with different approaches and results. Brescia proves to be the most silent, while Varese has just announced the arrival of a new player and Cremona seems to be in pole position in building the roster.

Germani Brescia is focused on choosing the starting power forward, but the future of John Petrucelli remains uncertain, influencing the decision on the “4” role. Coach Peppe Poeta, together with consultant Marco De Benedetto, is trying to complete the roster with experienced players from European basketball, avoiding focusing on players from the G-League.

Vanoli Cremona has announced the arrival of Stefan Nikolic, who completes the Italian group. Nikolic, born in Belgrade but raised in the Italian basketball scene, played the last three seasons in Cantù, demonstrating constant growth with an average of 10.3 points and 4.2 rebounds in the last championship. With the inclusion of Nikolic, coach Demis Cavina’s team can count on a solid Italian quintet supported by Paul Eboua, Luca Conti, Federico Zampini and Federico Poser.

Varese Basketball has finally announced its first foreign signing of the summer, signing a multi-year agreement with Justin Gray, a winger born in 1995 from Brose Bamberg in Germany, with averages of 9.1 points and 3.3 rebounds per game, and an impressive 43.5% from three points. General Manager Zachary Sogolow showed great enthusiasm for Gray’s arrival, praising his offensive and defensive qualities and confident that he will be a valuable addition to the red and white roster.
