The security cordon is increasing on some councilors of the Municipality of Bologna, after writings with death threats against the administrators appeared on the walls of the fair area. The prefecture has arranged an initial form of protection, with radio-connected surveillance under the homes of the administrators involved and in the Municipality offices. At the Corriere dei Bologna, the prefect Attilio Visconti assured that nothing will be underestimated: “Everything that alarms the administrators requires our intervention with more or less stringent measures.”
Among the writings in black paint that have appeared in the last few hours there is one addressed to the councilor for Public Works, Simone Borsari, under accusation for the construction of the first tram line and a cycle path. The writing was dedicated to him: “Borsari die badly”. For those works there were harsh protests at the Don Bosco park, where the workers have the task of cutting down trees that are in the area where a new school is also to be built. On that occasion two activists had decided to climb the trees to prevent them from being felled. Activists of the Besta Committee and, according to Digos, also members of the anarchist movement participated in the protests. During the arrest of a boy, clashes broke out between protesters and the police, while eight trees were cut down.
As reported by Resto del Carlino, the Municipality explains that these threats are only the latest episode to emerge: «It is not the first time that threatening writings have been found under the houses of councilors of the Council, attributable to the same worlds linked to the protest against the new school Besta – explain the municipal sources – On other occasions, the interested parties and the administration decided to report the matter only to the competent authorities, without reporting it”.
