Iemoli Trasporti, a logistics company founded in 1962 and now affiliated with the Swiss Post for goods logistics, with original headquarters in Cadorago, has inaugurated its new headquarters in the province of Como, in Turate. A decidedly larger and cutting-edge structure on the double front of technology and environmental sustainability.

Iemoli Trasporti mainly deals with dangerous goods in compliance with the rules of the ADR (International Agreement for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road), temperature-controlled transport and intermodal transport between Italy and Switzerland.

The new headquarters, which saw a total investment of over 10 million euros, stands on an area of 18 thousand m2, with a covered area of 8 thousand. Of these, 2,500 square meters are intended for heavy goods and ferrous products, while 500 square meters are reserved for ADR products (dangerous and/or temperature-controlled goods), with 19 loading docks. The offices and administrative sector occupy an area of 1,200 m2.

The entire structure is designed to offer the staff employed, currently around thirty people, a workplace that is as comfortable as possible, through systems capable of reducing noise and best balancing both natural and artificial light. Finally, an innovative distribution of workstations allows for better management of activity flows.

The new headquarters uses a 500 kW photovoltaic system combined with accumulators of equal capacity capable of storing the electricity produced during the day. In this way it is possible to use clean energy for the lighting system and for charging the forklifts, thus achieving zero impact in terms of energy consumption. There are also two 360 kW sockets available for powering electric trucks, capable of charging from 10 to 80% in 100 minutes, as well as four fast sockets for charging electric cars.
