Legnano (Milan) – It’s a guide which it proposes to collect stories of sustainable tourism across the peninsula and is the novelty of 2024 of the “Network of Sustainable Municipalities”: among the almost one hundred Municipalities and the over one thousand good practices described to tell the story of the Italy that tries, the Italy of mayors and local administrators who try the Municipality of Legnano also figures in combining sustainable development and tourism.
To guarantee a front row seat in Legnano they were the urban regeneration interventions that benefited from the Pnrr funds intercepted through various tenders and which are characterizing the administration’s action. Among the initiatives mentioned in the guide are there Forest me (which allowed the Municipality to be identified for the Superb project), the punctual tariff, the contested one Bicipolitana, and home/school/work mobility vouchers. Among the good sustainability practices is participation in the 2023-2025 Intelligent Cities Challenge programme, the carbon neutral circular economy created by the non-profit company Neutalia and the Green and Commerce Network.
The guide would also like to become one tool for discovering new destinations also to travelers who choose sustainable, slow, accessible, green and smart tourism and who in these pages can find many good reasons to visit the cities and towns of the Sustainable Municipalities Network.
