LICOLA – First day of diving and fun at the new AcquaFlash in Licola crowded with thousands of people. Gates open in the morning and two days at popular prices for the first 3000 booked on the website www.acqua-flash.it.
“I am proud because in six months we have reborn a large water park and I am happy for the first 200 jobs, in addition to the important boost in related industries in the area. After Edenlandia, today AcquaFlash, without forgetting the great work of recovery and conversion of the former dog track, acquired by Edenlandia and which we hope to open in 2025. In short, I would like to become the “restorer” of the historic amusement parks in the area Naples Metro.” says Gianluca Vorzillo.
In the afternoon music and entertainment with many artists on stage presented by Gaetano Gaudiero and Fabiola Cimminella; from Ciccio Merolla, to Rico Femiano, from Federico di Napoli to Mariano Bruno, with the tandem at the console of DJs Marco Corvino and Raf Parola to make the many guests dance.
AcquaFlash is back with the big waves of the mega pool as well as the two baby pools, the hydromassage pool and the lagoon, with a space dedicated to games for the Park’s little guests. AcquaFlash has a daily capacity of up to 4500 users and features many water games, such as the Kamikaze slide, among the highest in Europe, with the Niagara, the Anaconda, the FOAM, the tube, the lazy river, the big hole and with family rafting, with these last two attractions returning after twenty years but there will also be space for the mushroom and the two slides reserved for children. AcquaFlash will not only offer relaxation and fun, because there will also be the Arena which, starting from this summer, will host events and concerts for up to ten thousand spectators in approximately 9000 m2.
THE NUMBERS
The work on the first areas of AcquaFlash, in addition to the car park and approximately 2000 spaces, which can also be booked online for tourist buses, cars and motorbikes on over 40,000 m2, cost over three million euros in addition to the other three million invested for the purchase at the Park auction.
The further works, for over nine million euros, will involve the ownership of the park as early as next October for the next two years and will concern over 25,000 m2 of the eco-park and educational farm and the 43,000 m2 of the reception area, with a resort with around 100 bungalows and a 50-room hotel. In this way, all the interventions on the approximately 200,000 thousand m2 of AcquaFlash extension will be completed.
The impact on the employment front is important with over 200 jobs, already in this start-up phase of the Park, which will become 400 when AcquaFlash, also the eco-park and educational farm with grazing animals and with the reception area.
The ordinary cost of the ticket, valid for the whole day and for all the attractions, is set at 18 euros for adults on weekdays and 20 euros on holidays, while the little ones will be guests of the Park; starting from 2 pm the ticket will always be halved.
SAFETY AND HYGIENE
The multimedia totems on the various routes of the park will make the park even more technological and accessible to users who will be welcomed and assisted by a large group of hostesses, stewards and control and security staff, a theme that is particularly at the center of attention of the management of the Park.
Particular attention has been paid to the sanitization system of the swimming pools, slides, changing rooms, showers and all common areas which will take place with the use of specific equipment that does not require the use of chemical products, guaranteeing guests and maximum personal safety. Furthermore, waste water will be reused for irrigation of green areas.
FOR THE LITTLE ONES
Many other services are also planned, especially in the lagoon area and in the family area, there will be bazaars and old games, from table football to table tennis and there will also be a team of entertainers who will involve young and old: a an area with a free nursery service up to three years of age and a mini club up to seven years of age which will welcome them in a large green space with a playground designed to entertain them with educational activities and spaces for rest.
THE CATERING
The brewery, closed for 20 years now, will reopen with 350 seats in over 750 m2. At guests’ disposal four bars, the diner with 200 seats, the sushi, the Kebab store, the aperitif area, the pizzeria and the take away chip shop will cover a total surface area of over 2500 m2 and in the lagoon area an à la carte restaurant for 90 covers.
