Accident at work in Cascia: Construction worker injured, investigations underway

An accident at work has involved a 48-year-old construction worker in Cascia, a town in Umbria. The man, employed by a subcontractor engaged in post-earthquake renovation work on the town hall, was taken to the Spoleto hospital by his employer on Saturday evening after suffering several injuries.

The circumstances of the accident raised doubts, prompting the Carabinieri to launch an investigation. The man, due to the severity of his injuries, was subsequently transferred to the hospital in Terni, where he is currently hospitalized with a reserved prognosis.

The investigators are looking for to determine the exact location of the accident and whether it can be linked to the construction site where the worker was employed. The construction site was seized by ASL inspectors.
