THE ACTIVITY CARRIED OUT

In the year 2023 they were aid provided for a total of 62,914 eurosapproximately 40% less than the previous year. 98,223 kilograms of food were distributed received free of charge, in particular through the Food Bank.

9,805 food parcels and hygiene products were distributed permitting 2,240 people to take advantage of it, of which 872 Italians, 258 EU citizens, 1110 non-EU citizens.
Through home visits, a characteristic activity of the Association, 769 people, 299 families, were assisted.

Provision was made for the payment of utilities, rent, condominium expenses, aid for the health care of individuals and to help them comply with hygiene standards through the payment of medical visits, medicines, various aids and also for education. to avoid school dropout through study support and payment of school expenses (textbooks, stationery, kit, canteens and school transport).

Children’s Emporium

For seven years this work of San Vincenzo has been providing homework help services, playrooms, educational and creative workshops, moments of celebration aimed at integration, pediatric consultancy and distribution of basic necessities (food, school supplies, personal hygiene products, clothing , books, toys and children’s equipment).
In 2023, 91 new assisted children were added, following in total 543 children of 30 different nationalities, mainly from Morocco, Nigeria, Ukraine and 40 Italians.
The concept of recycling second-hand items was greatly encouraged, with the free donation of clothing, toys and equipment for an estimated value of €29,046.

Many benefactors donated a total of 181 kg of food, but hygiene and school food products distributed in 1,811 parcels were necessarily purchased. Therefore the cost of the project net of rent and utility costs was €22,906.

Grandparents Emporium

Created in 2022 to improve the quality of life of elderly people who often live alone and some of them even with inadequate pensions. It is a series of meetings to be experienced in serenity and friendship at the Emporio Bimbi headquarters aimed at breaking the monotony of days that are all the same. The meetings are also animated by young Vincentians for a mutual enrichment of human values ​​in generational diversity. From the stories that the elderly tell about their lives, a book and a recipe book of their favorite preparations will be obtained. Furthermore, through the presence of experts, the elderly are encouraged to sing, dance and play together, as well as sharing a snack or dinner in external venues. The project cost 112.51 euros.
