Nichelino: the first study hall of the university campus outside Turin – Turin Chronicle

Yesterday afternoon, Friday 28 June, at NICHOLAS the first was inaugurated study room of the Widespread university campus outside the city of Torino.

This project, born from the collaboration between the City of Turin, the University, the Polytechnic of Turin and EDISU Piemonte, has the aim of making available to students over 30 study spaces spread across the Turin area, for a total of more than 2,500 seats.

Throughout the summer period, until the reopening of schools in September, the Nichelino study hall will observe the following timetable: Monday 10 – 18; Tuesday 18.30 – 21.30, Wednesday 9.30 – 13.30; Thursday 18.30 – 21.30; Friday 9.30 – 13.30.

This opening calendar complements the ordinary one of the Youth information desk: from Tuesday to Friday from 2.30pm to 6.30pm; on Saturdays from 10.30 to 12.30.

«We often ask ourselves what we want from the young people of the area and little or never what they would want from us.

Here, this historical act fully represents the dynamics of I listen of the needs of the new generations, who were loudly asking for opportunities, tools and spaces for their journey training and emancipation”, says the councilor Fiodor Verzola.

The study room, located inside the Nichelino Youth Information Centre (via Galimberti 3), has been active since last June 10th, and is just one of the new features that have seen this space as the protagonist: the restyling of the area and the creation of services such as orientation, training and recreational laboratories.

«We hope that the process started with the Informagiovani of Nichelino will encourage an ever greater extension of spaces for young people, also in other city ​​of the belt”, the councilor concluded Charlotte Salerno.
