Marsala Women’s Football Regional Under 15 Champion

Virtus Femminile Marsala – Gloria Città di San Cataldo, a match valid for the final of the Regional Under 15 Women’s Championship, ends with a result of 2-1 for the lilybetane who win the maximum title for Sicilian women’s football in the Under 15 category.

There was an immediate celebration at the final whistle on Sunday 16 June on the neutral pitch of the Panormus pitches in Palermo, the scene of a great game offered by the two island teams from Marsala and San Cataldo who best of all were able to stand out in their respective Groups A and B.

Mister Valeria Anteri’s group, however, manages to prevail thanks to two great performances which began first with Serena Pipitone’s starting goal who sent Giulia Caporelli through on goal for the 1-0 in the first half and then concluded with Claudia Musumeci’s corner kick which catches Carlotta Nicocia’s right-footed shot for 2-0 in the second half.

In fact, the goal of the opponent Sofia Costa in the third half was of no use in shortening a lead that had now been put in the safe by the Marsala team, the same ones who know well the disappointment of a second place and who fought until the end to win the desired trophy.
Also present at the match were the vice president of the regional committee Dino Corbo, in charge of rewarding the clubs involved, the head of youth sector competitive activity Fabio Giattino and the AIAC delegate for women’s football Antonia Giammanco.
