Umbria at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York – The Council informs

Umbria flies to New York to participate in the 68th edition of the Summer Fancy Food Show, the most important event in the US food industry, which will be held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center from 23 to 25 June.

This prestigious exhibition – underlines the Region in a note – which every year hosts between 20,000 and 30,000 buyers specialized in food, wine, gift and department stores, supermarkets and restaurants, “represents an extraordinary opportunity for the marketing, promotion and valorisation of excellence Umbria. The event will favor companies’ access to the US market, strengthening exports and incoming activities”.

The institutional mission of the Umbria Region was organized and led by the regional councilor for economic development with the collaboration of Sviluppumbria Spa.

The aim is to tell Umbria through its typical products, enhancing simple flavors but capable of conquering even the most refined palates. Umbria’s participation will allow companies to establish direct and targeted relationships in the US market, facilitating access to distribution channels and encouraging the inclusion of new business entities. The United States represents the main non-EU partner for the region and the second destination country for Umbrian exports.

Umbria will be present in the Italian Pavilion with a dedicated regional stand, “strongly desired by the regional administration to increase the visibility of the ten selected companies, which will have the opportunity to hold B2B meetings with the numerous buyers present”.

Inside the stand, three daily show cooking sessions will be held by the Umbrian chef Andrea Tiberi, with preparations and tastings of local products. Furthermore, on Monday 24 June, the stand will host the Italian influencer Aurora Cavallo, who has conquered American and New York kitchens. The Umbrian excellences will also be presented in the Dipalo’s store, one of the reference points for fine food in New York. Here, buyers and stakeholders will have the opportunity to discover and appreciate the products of the Umbrian territory.
