Sesto San Giovanni, on Saturday 22 June, celebrated its most deserving citizens, those who, with dedication and commitment, keep the name of the city high in Italy and in the world, with the awarding of the Sesto D’Oro 2024.

The highest city merit was awarded to Paolo Fondrini for 60 years of entrepreneurial activity which promoted the development of the territory, creating job opportunities and supporting social and cultural initiatives; to the Pentola d’Oro for over 25 years of excellence, creativity and innovation in the restaurant sector, which have consolidated his fame at a national level; at the Circolo Culturale Il Tricolore for 20 years of cultural activity, with events and conferences that have enriched the cultural life of the city; to the Sesto Conferences of San Vincenzo De Paoli for the constant commitment to serving the local community with altruism, dedication and generosity, improving the lives of people with social fragility; to the Asf Polisportiva Geas for 70 years of activity in 14 sports disciplines, contributing to the development of sport and the well-being of the community, with excellent results at European, world and Olympic levels; to Carmine Nunziata for his extraordinary commitment to the development of youth football in Italy, inspiring and motivating young talents not only as athletes but also as individuals.

The certificates of civic merit were instead awarded to Dante Piero Belotti for having dedicated 50 years to blood donations, showing great altruism and vocation in serving others; to Lina Vicentini for the extraordinary willpower demonstrated in obtaining the eighth grade certificate, an example of commitment for everyone; Stefano Sioli for 15 years of national and international volunteering, protagonists of important humanitarian interventions; to the Beer Festival Volunteers for the success of a much-anticipated festival in the city for over 30 years; to Pasquale Grieco for 45 years of activity and constant support for the social and cultural activities of the area; Carmine Siciliano for having contributed to the development of the territory with a historic company that also supported the city’s culture; Rossana Magani for her extraordinary social commitment, serving associations and institutions; Caritas Dean for activities to help and accompany people towards autonomy, making them part of the community; to Pasticceria Camozzi for 65 years of activity in the area, giving great prestige to the Rondinella district and the entire city; Pina Vittoria Randazzo for having carried on the business in the lighting sector, uniting three generations; Carlo di Chiara and Matteo Ricchiuti for the extraordinary courage and altruism demonstrated in putting their lives at risk to save people in danger; Michele Mauro Seclì for his empathy and commitment to providing support and assistance in moments of extreme fragility.
