The Artusiana starts at 6pm at the Archaeological Museum with the guided tour with aperitif ‘Renaissances of taste’. A pleasant walk along the walkways of the fortress to discover how the profession of the court chef was born and, to crown the experience, a laid table, where you can taste the delicious delicacies recreated starting from the recipes of the Renaissance courts. In fact, ‘Stories and tastings of mortadella’ is on the programme. With Chiara Murru, University for Foreigners of Siena, we will delve into curiosities and themes related to the etymology of the word and then discover the secrets and flavors in a guided tasting of Mortadella Bologna PGI by Augusto Cosimi of the Mortadella Bologna PGI Consortium. At 8pm in Piazza Pompilio, show cooking by Carla Brigliadori of the Chef to Chef association. At the same time in the moat of the fortress children’s show ‘Trash and cleaners’ with Marlon Banda. At 9.45pm, live music with Malibù arrives in the Piazza Fratti arena. Throughout the evening there will be entertainment in the streets of the party with the buskers: the Compagnia Begherè with ‘Fuori dalla suitcase’ and Enrico Marconi with ‘Dusty blues’. To welcome visitors, 34 restaurants set up with menus suitable for all palates, from grilled meat to first courses, from fish to panzerotto, up to passatelli, and more, of the ‘Passatelleria di chi Burdèl dei Corsi’. Today the Artusiana festival and Casa Artusi meet with one of the city’s excellences, the School of Popular Music, in its now legendary formation which is the Orchestrona, for the occasion in a ‘chamber’ version with a concert that will start to 8pm, free entry.
