From the age-old problem of shortage of doctorsuntil to long waits. The political spotlight is back on again on the emergency room situation at the San Luca hospital in Lucca, starting from an appointment that will allow the various players in the sector but also committees and citizens to be given a voice. With the intention too to draw a line over a two-year journey which saw Lucca at the helm of the zonal conference of ASL mayors and propose solutions to deal with the weak points of the emergency emergency system but also of local healthcare.
The occasion to take stock of the situation and discuss the issues still to be resolved an open municipal council called for next July 18th (starting at 2.30 pm) which has on the agenda the emergency room in Lucca and the Castelnuovo di Garfagnana sectionseen as “reference points for the Lucca Plain and the Serchio Valley” for healthcare in the area. The mayor of Lucca himself, Mario Pardini, wanted this moment of discussion and requested the Council meeting at Palazzo Santini in an open form. who is also president of the zonal conference of mayors of the ASL.
They will be called to intervene not just the health professions of the emergency room that the mayor himself, together with the delegated health advisor, Alessandro Di Vitohe met personally at the beginning of a journey that led him to deal directly with the sectors of the sector, but also the representatives of the health committees who had urged Pardini some time ago to convene a council meeting to give the various voices the opportunity to present critical issues but also proposals to deal with the problems. We will also talk about the situation in the Serchio Valley and in Garfagnana with a view to territorial management of the emergency emergency which must take into account the problems at the level of the area between Piana di Lucca and Valle del Serchio.
