Eurochocolate, through official communication, declares itself unrelated to the investigations relating to the investigation called “Dolce Vita”. The company rejects any accusation of involvement in the alleged auction rigging of the promotional services entrusted by the Municipality of Avellino to a radio broadcaster: “From reading the titles of the articles published by local media relating to the investigations still underway on the front regarding the hypothesis of auction rigging relating to the promotional services assigned by the municipal administration of Avellino to a well-known radio broadcaster, it would appear that Eurochocolate is involved in this matter. We understand the difficulties of journalistic synthesis especially in the titles of articles but, as has unfortunately happened other times in the recent past, seeing the name of an important brand such as Eurochocolate mentioned and associated in the context of judicial matters unrelated to it, causes significant damage ‘image. For example, the title “Eurochocolate disturbance”, “Eurochocolate investigation”, “Eurochocolate trial” etc etc does not seem linear to us compared to the contents of the same articles but above all not respectful towards us. One of the strands of the “Dolce Vita” investigation (this is the real name of the investigation as far as we know) which has received new media attention in recent days, concerns, as amply documented by the same articles, actions undertaken by a public body in favor of an entrepreneurial entity that certainly has a much greater reputation than Eurochocolate, such as to guarantee a greater audience than we can.
The Eurochocolate organization never participated in the negotiations regarding the assignment of the promotional services entrusted to the radio station under investigation. No representative of Eurochocolate has ever taken part in programs or given interviews to the radio station during his presence in Avellino. The reason is very simple: we have never been invited nor have we ever allowed ourselves to solicit the editorial staff to be involved as they respect editorial lines and communication perimeters which have never been the subject of our direct involvement. We respect the work of journalists but we would like the same to be done for us. We therefore once again recommend that local information bodies pay the utmost attention to the titling of their articles which once again carelessly saw Eurochocolate as the protagonist, suggesting that it had an active role which instead belonged to other public and private entities. The recurrence of these circumstances will oblige us, from today onwards, to protect our reputation built over 30 years of serious work at every location.
