PESCARA – The Financial Police turns 250 and celebrates with the city. The yellow flames have organized for Wednesday, in Piazza Salotto, a day among the people and for the people, to mingle with the citizens and strengthen the bond that must exist between the population and institutions, in order to protect and guarantee the rights of all . This is the main reason for the choice made by the provincial command of Pescara, led by Colonel Antonio Caputo, who explains: «We have chosen a symbolic place of the capital of our province precisely to create a climate of mixing and collaboration with all the citizens, great and little ones, who will want to celebrate with us. Celebrate the values that we defend every day, such as those of legality, safety and the protection of rights. I must say that today the uniformed officer is often viewed with distrust, but with the passage of time and also with the work we do through the media, trust increases. At least that of all honest people, who fortunately are the majority and who see us and all the police forces as an ally in the protection of their rights.” And he continues: «We are always at the service of citizens and it is our objective to create a climate of collaboration in the interest of the community». Then the colonel moves on to the problems of the territory: «Counterfeiting, failure to fulfill tax obligations, drugs, but also infiltration of crime from outside: I believe that we can thus summarize the main critical issues of a territory that still today remains a land of conquest. A clear example”, he continues, “is the “Transhumance” operation within the pasture mafia, which allowed us to discover a huge scam against the European Union”. The highlight of Wednesday’s party will be the ceremony in the square from 7.30pm, but from 9.30am to 9.30pm it will be possible to carry out free medical visits and screenings inside the prevention citadel set up with the collaboration of Synergo healthcare personnel.
