On the occasion of World ALS Day, which coincides with the summer solstice, the awards ceremony for the winners of the third edition of the SLAncio Prize, organized by La Meridiana Cooperativa Sociale of Monza, took place.

Here are the winners of the third edition of the SLAncio Award

“Ring around the rosie
the world falls;
the earth falls,
the world is at war”

it is the poetry of Stella Ferla, a young eighteen year old who won first place in the Poetry section. The editorial staff of Scriveresistere, the magazine written with the eyes, promoter of the competition, wanted to choose the challenging topic of Peace as the theme. Over 320 people responded to Scriveresistere’s invitation with works covering the four sections of the competition: Poetry, Story, Song, Vision.

The jury

The Jury is extremely qualified and is made up of important personalities from the world of Culture, Art, Social Affairs, Journalism and Entertainment.
Among the names we find Ferruccio De Bortoli, Luca Crippa, Pietro Coletta, Alfredo Rapetti Mogol, Valentina Volpe Andreazza, Mario Calabresi, Maurizio Galimberti, Aldo Bottoli, Luca Streri, Luisa Sorrentino and Rinaldo Gaspari. The President of the Jury is Arnoldo Mosca Mondadori.

Introduced by the “Va Pensiero” sung by the mezzo-soprano Valentina Volpe Andreazza accompanied by the cello of Issei Watanabe, the cahonne of Arup Kanti Das and the guitar of the producer/director/musician MarcoBorrelli, the awards ceremony saw the presence of the Mayor of Monza Paolo Pilotto who followed the different phases of the event with interest.

“Through Premio SLAncio we wish to dialogue and spread the importance of looking at reality with confidence. We want to think of the most fragile of all: the children to whom we would like to show a reassuring world, a colorful world that awaits them with open arms. There are weapons far more powerful than steel, missiles, bombs… Thanks to all those who believe in Values ​​and fight for the Common Good” – is the message of the organizers of the award.
