PORTOGRUARO (VENICE) – A person would have sat on the tracks of the Venice-Trieste railway line and would have been hit by a train: traffic between Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia was interrupted. Since this morning, Saturday 22 June, railway traffic between the stations of Portogruaro and Latisana has been interrupted due to the discovery of a body along the roadbed. Health workers intervened on site at 118 together with the railway police from the Portogruaro Polfer station. Rescuers were unable to do anything to save the life of the person who was most likely hit by a train. For Italy, traffic has been interrupted since 7:20 this morning along the Venice-Trieste line in both directions.

The train FR 9712 Trieste Centrale (6:00) – Torino Porta Nuova (11:00) has been stopped since 7:23 near Portogruaro.
