Valid as the 2nd Round of the UIM-ABP Watercraft World Championship and the UIM-ABP World Championship in a single stage of the Ski and Runabout categories, GP2, GP3 and GP4 classes. Also competing in Olbia are the Spark Youth watercraft pilots engaged in the 4th stage of the Italian Championship.

The great Motonautica Aquabike Internazionale lands in Sardinia; in Olbia, a privileged location for jet skis, the “Italian Grand Prix of the Sardinia Region 2024” is underway from today to Sunday 23 June.

The important appointment with jet skis is organized by ASD Aquabike Olbia with the authorization of the Italian Motorboating Federation and Aquabike Promotion Ltd, under the aegis of the International Motorboating Union.

Many athletes, around 180 foreign and Italian pilots, coming from all over the world.

The presence of the best drivers on the circuit in tests rich in technical, competitive and spectacular content ensures an intense weekend of entertainment and high-level competitions.

The riders registered in Olbia will be involved in the 2nd Round of the UIM-ABP Class Pro World Championship and in the 2024 UIM-ABP Circuit Ski GP2, GP3 and GP4 and Runabout GP2, GP3, GP4 World Championship. And GP4 Ladies, a single stage and therefore valid for the assignment of the 2024 category world titles.

The young, fierce riders of the SPARK FIM Youth Water Bike are also in action in Olbia, competing in the 4th stage of the Italian Championship, organized in collaboration with the ASD Aquabike Olbia.

The races of all categories will take place in the body of water in front of the Brin pier.

As per the attached timetable, today, Friday 21 June, for the World Championships, free practice will be held from 10.00 to 12.00 and from 13.00 to 16.00, followed by qualifying for pole position from 16.00 to 18.15. The first heats will be held from 6.15pm to 7.15pm. Finally, from 7.15pm to 7.30pm, the Freestyle qualifications.

Saturday 22 June, from 8.30 to 9.30 and from 1.30 to 2.30 pm the pilots of the Italian Spark Youth Championship will be in the water; then the World Championship drivers will host the first heats for the categories from 9.30 to 13.00, while the second heats will take place in the afternoon from 14.30 to 19.00.

On Sunday 23 May the Italian Spark Youth Championship opens from 9.00 to 10.00 and from 12.15 to 13.00; then free practice for the drivers participating in the World Championships (10.30-12.00), followed by the last heats (14.00-19.00). The program is different for the Runabout GP1 (first heat on Saturday afternoon, second on Sunday afternoon) and for the Freestyle (first heat on Sunday morning, second in the afternoon of the same day), categories for which only two heats are scheduled.

At the end of the races, at 7.15pm on Sunday, the winners of all categories will be awarded prizes.

After the Olbia stage, the next stage of the UIM-ABP World Championship is in Balige, Indonesia (22 – 23 November 2024).
