Fiumicino, 21 June 2024 – “In today’s morning we have treated in the Ceci Bridge Commission. This allowed us to delve deeper into certain dynamics and follow more closely the status of the work on this important territorial connection.” This was declared by the president of the Public Works Commission Roberto Feola.
“In the Commission – explains Feola – we have examined the design drawings illustrated by the technician responsible for the shipbuilding area. The new bridge will have a double lane and will consist of two 3.50 meter carriageways. A pedestrian sidewalk and a cycle path will then be built. They were in the Commission covered all the political and technical aspects of the history of a bridge which, due to its important connecting function, has not been able to find a concrete realization over the years.
The will and ability of the Administration was, without a doubt, that of speed up the entire process to proceed with the start of the works which will bring a great result to the citizens. The commitment to carry on as many improvements as possible throughout the territory the prerogative remains, trying to identify the fundamental points on which to be able to work by concentrating the direction of the offices by the Department. This allows us to give many answers throughout the territory and carry out programmatic interventions and critical issues to address. The fundamental aspect remains above all that relating to the safety that the old bridge did not guarantee and the width of the carriageways which will also allow many heavy and agricultural vehicles to pass more smoothly”.
