PORDENONE – White tank top, torn jeans, shaved hair and body covered in tattoos. Jair Stiven Sinisterra Colorado, the 29-year-old Colombian arrested for the sexual assault of an eighteen-year-old on the Noncello embankment, crosses the threshold of the Court with his head bowed. In the courtroom, supported by an interpreter, the investigating judge Rodoldo Piccin and the deputy prosecutor Federica Urban were waiting for him, the magistrate who coordinated the investigations of the Norm carabinieri of Pordenone and issued the arrest as a suspect in a crime, specifically sexual violence, injuries and aggravated robbery.

The immigrant, who lives in Pordenone and works as a warehouse worker in Manzano, has appointed two lawyers: lawyers Laura Diana and Alessandro Magaraci. He did not avail himself of the right not to respond. He said that he doesn’t remember anything because he had gotten drunk, but he confirmed that the one in the green t-shirt stalking the victim under the arcades of Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is him. On the one hand the memory lapse caused by alcohol abuse, on the other an admission that the work of the investigators is unassailable in terms of the reconstruction carried out through municipal and private video surveillance systems. Moreover, the procedural documents, although still in the preliminary phase, at this stage leave little space open for the defense.
Sinisterra confirmed that he spent the evening with his family in the center until around 10pm. After that he would return home, where he would drink two bottles of whiskey and a beer. He then met a friend and together they went to a party in Udine. Then the gaps begin. According to the cameras, before 2 am he was back in Pordenone, stationed on a bench not far from the victim’s workplace, under the arcades while he chased her and, while he looked straight at the cameras in Via San Marco before crossing the bridge of Adam and Eve, where he then abused the girl.
There are serious clues to validate the arrest. The danger of escape and repetition of the crime indicated by the Prosecutor’s Office were considered real, as there is evidence that Sinisterra had contacted a friend in Spain and was considering a trip. The 29-year-old therefore remains in prison and will be transferred to a prison where there is a section dedicated to perpetrators of sexual crimes.
