Varese State Police arrest for family abuse – VareseInLuce.it

The Busto Arsizio State Police has put an end to a series of violent acts perpetrated by a Tunisian citizen, responsible for serious mistreatment of his wife, minor children and elderly mother-in-law.

The man, resident in Busto Arsizio, already had a conviction for domestic abuse. Despite this, he returned to carrying out serious acts attributable to the same crime. A specific judicial police investigation, conducted by the PS Commissariat, revealed that her wife, an Italian citizen, was a habitual victim of beatings by her husband, which caused her physical injuries. The woman also suffered serious threats such as: “I’ll blow your face off if you don’t give me money, I’ll kill you, I’ll knock out all your teeth, I’ll take out your eyes”, all this in the presence of her terrified minor children. For these crimes, the man was arrested flagrantly and is currently in precautionary custody at the Como district prison.

The Varese Police Commissioner, having assessed the seriousness of the actions, instructed the Anti-Crime Police Division to start an investigation to request the prevention measure of special public security surveillance. The Milan court, autonomous prevention measures section, accepted the request, ordering the measure to last 2 years and 6 months. At the end of his sentence, the man will be subjected to rigorous checks due to his high social danger. The “electronic bracelet” will also be applied, a device that allows you to monitor his movements to guarantee a minimum distance of 500 meters from the victims, under penalty of immediate arrest. This measure aims to protect victims and prevent the repetition of such unspeakable behaviour.
