Aca Spa, an aqueduct company, communicates through a note published on its Facebook page: «progressive decreases in the flow rate of the springs and contextual overconsumption caused by the high temperatures which lead to progressive lowering of the levels of the tanks continue to be recorded». Therefore, the weekly programming table of closures from 20 to 27 June 2024 has been published on the company website. In Pescara, only a reduction during the night hours of the Fontanelle reservoir is foreseen which refers to the South-West area of the city: Colle Santo Spirito, via San Donato, via Fontanelle, via Caduti per Servizio, via Ventre D’Oca. The time slot to take into consideration is from 10.30pm to 6am, when the tanks reopen.
The other municipalities in the Province of Pescara affected by reductions or closures of the tanks are: Cepagatti (urban center up to the roundabout between via Chieti and via Valignani), where the tank will be closed on 21 and 24 June; Città Sant’Angelo (various areas, such as the Cipressi district, the Campagna district, the Colle Razzi district), on 22, 24 and 26 June; Manoppello (Manoppello Scalo and Interporto, Manoppello Scalo, Santa Arabona and Contrada Marinelli), on 25 June; Nocciano (Fonte Schiavo, Casali, Zamparetti), on 20, 22, 24 and 26 June; Penne (urban centre), from 21 to 27 June; Pescosansonesco (Pescosansonesco old and new), from 20 to 27 June; Pianella (urban centre, Colle Vecchio district, Prato Donico district and surrounding areas), from 21st to 27th June; Scafa (urban center plus other areas); June 22nd and 25th; Tocco da Casauria (entire territory with the exception of the Tiburtina area), on 21 and 24 June; Torre de’ Passeri (cemetery, via Einaudi, via Orientale-crossing via Dante Alighieri, via D’Annunzio and other streets), on 21 and 24 June.
