There are those who are waiting for promotion to the council and those who, by direct effect, are waiting to be able to enter the seats of the municipal councilThese are hot days for the majority of the newly elected mayor Laura Nargi who, while waiting for the proclamation that will probably take place on July 9th, is working on the composition of the government team that will have to accompany her in the next five years of administration with the difficult task of having to keep the internal balances of her coalition firm and those necessary to maintain the political agreement narrowly in the runoff with the Civic Pact of Rino Genovese, Livio Petitto and Angelo Antonio D’Agostino.

Nargisas decreed by the result of the first round and the victory of the second, will be able to count on a majority of 20 councilors to which will be added the 4 elected from the ranks of the civic pact who, barring any splits, should guarantee with their votes in the chamber the approval of the practices of the future administration. A total of 24 councilors out of 32. The “Davvero” list, with 17% of the votes and 12 seats won will take the lion’s share.

To the constructed political formation now fifteen years ago by former mayor Gianluca Festa, four departments should go including the deputy mayor. Former councilors Antonio Genovese, Giuseppe Negrone and Marianna Mazza are playing the game, the latter with the role of Nargi’s deputy, but also one of Mario Spiniello and Jessica Tomasetta, outgoing councilors who have collected over 1200 votes overall. One promotion will go to “Viva La Libertà” which should also be represented by Monica Spiezia, one to “Sono Avellino” with the more than probable entry into the government team of Alberto Bilotta. As for the allies of the Civic Pact, one department is certain and it is the one that will be entrusted to Giuseppe Giacobbe, the most voted on Petitto’s list, “Moderates and reformists”. Perhaps the second, for which Sergio Trezza is in pole position, again from the same team, which will depend on how many external players the mayor decides to involve. Up to now he has always talked about a couple of technical additions, but it cannot be ruled out that, in the end, the synthesis will arrive at just one.

Then there is the political “stock market” which, for the majority balances, becomes decisive. It will be necessary to understand who will hold the prestigious role of president of the council, to which both the outgoing Ugo Maggio and Gerardo Melillo, head of the Forza Avellino list, D’Agostino’s team, aspire, who will be the presidents of the commissions and who will be appointed to represent the Municipality in its participating entities. Also awaiting with anxiety and trepidation the decisions on the council are the first of the non-elected of the three lists of Nargi and those of the allies. They can aspire to enter the council, in place of the elected promoted to the council who, by law, will have to leave the seat obtained, in the quota “Davvero” Mario Sorice, the outgoing Antonio Cosmo, the former administrator Guido D’Avanzo and Luigi Scalzullo.

Among the ranks of “Siamo Avellino” and “Viva La Libertà” Giulia Zaolino and the outgoing Giovanni Cucciniello await respectively. On the allied front, in “Moderati e riformisti”, it is certain that Gerarda Russo will enter the chamber in place of Giacobbe and, if Trezza is also promoted, Roberto Savino could also sit on the council benches for the first time. The return to the chamber of the former councilor Mafalda Galluccio, first of the non-elected in “Forza Avellino”, is more difficult unless the doors of the council open for Melillo too. Mariarosaria Famoso could take over the chamber, if the mayoral candidate of Patto civico, Rino Genovese, were to decide to return full-time to his work as a Rai journalist and, therefore, resign as councilor.
