They acted like a pack that always used the same technique: first with an excuse they started an argument with the victim and then attacked him with extreme violence. A circumstance that occurred on at least two separate occasions between February and March inside two Catania “nightlife” venues.

In the end the gang was identified by the Etna Flying Squad which arrested six people on the orders of the investigating judge of the Court of Catania at the request of the Etna District Prosecutor’s Office.

Who are the six violent men arrested?

Domenico Bosco aged 21, Salvatore Condorelli aged 25, Giovanni Stuppia aged 20, Orazio Foti aged 25, Leonardo Manganaro aged 20 and Antonino Privitera aged 25 ended up in handcuffs.

The six were also notified of an equal number of bans on access to public places, issued by the Catania police commissioner.

In particular, in recent months, inside two well-known nightclubs in Catania, a group of young people, including a minor, were responsible for violent attacks against other young people who, hit with kicks, slaps, punches and even through the improper use of a helmet, they were forced to resort to medical treatment, suffering injuries deemed curable with a prognosis ranging from 5 to 30 days. Some of the suspects have criminal and police records and have proven to be socially dangerous enough to justify the issuing of the Daspo Willy by the police commissioner.

The accusations

The six are accused by the investigating judge of Catania of complicity in injuries, aggravated both by having determined to commit the crime or by having in any case made use of a minor in the commission, and by having acted for trivial reasons, in several people gathered together and in greater than five.

The investigations, coordinated by the Etna Prosecutor’s Office and conducted by the Flying Squad, made it possible to acquire elements that would demonstrate how the gang attacked other kids without reason inside nightclubs in the historic city center.

The two fights in the nightclub

The investigations, based on what was reported by security personnel, victims, witnesses and video surveillance, made it possible to reconstruct what happened on 11 February 2024 and March 2024.

On February 11th, the inspiration was provided by the carnival celebrations of a girl fromhinterland from Catania, together with her partner and other relatives: first they harassed her on the dance floor and then they beat anyone who had intervened to defend the girl with their helmets.

The second episode on the night of March 2nd concerned a university student away from home who was attacked, without reason, in another nightclub, with slaps and punches by a boy supported by a group of about twenty people. The event was not only filmed in every sequence by video cameras placed inside the venue, but also relaunched by social networks.

The suspects were subjected to house arrest. There was also a person who was untraceable for a week.
