What jobs for those studying at the University of Bergamo?

For many, however, part-time or seasonal work is essential to finance studies or support daily expenses. Students access these opportunities by doing online searches, or within their circles of friends and acquaintances. As Daniele, who is 23 years old and studies literature, tells us: «During my studies, I did various odd jobs. I started with a cooperative that supplied supermarkets, found through apps like Indeed or Infojobs. After that I worked as a waiter for a summer, thanks to an ad found in a local pizzeria. Through word of mouth, I had the opportunity to do after-school care with a cooperative. I am currently doing my civil service in the White Cross, an experience that I have found extremely rewarding. However, this double requirement can reduce the time available for in-depth study and recreational activities, essential for a healthy psychophysical balance. At the start it was difficult to combine study and work, especially because I wasn’t used to managing both at the same time. Personally, I found satisfaction in social workwhich in addition to being in line with my interests, have allowed me to grow as an individual and feel gratification at the end of the day.”
