Double Italian challenge for Zalf in Florence and Trissino

Having archived the experience at the Giro d’Italia Next Gen, Zalf Euromobil Désirée Fior is already working on a new double event of great prestige and interest. In fact, on Sunday 23 June, the Italian Professional and Under 23 Championships will take place which will see the standard bearers of the team captained by owners Gaspare Lucchetta and Egidio Fior involved.

Starting from Florence and arriving in Sesto Fiorentino, the Elite Giovanni De Carlo, Andrea Guerra, Tommaso Nencini and Simone Raccani led by DS Renato Caramel will be competing in the Italian Championship reserved for Professionals.

In Trissino (Vi), however, it will be the Under 23s’ turn to go in search of the tricolor flag; in the race there will be Tommaso Cafueri, Matteo Cettolin, Federico Iacomoni, Cesare Chesini, Stefano Leali and Giovanni Zordan who will be led by Gianni Faresin and Michele Corrocher.

A double Italian event that stimulates and pushes the standard bearers of Zalf Euromobil Désirée Fior to give their all to shine in two such prestigious showcases as underlined by the words of Team Manager Luciano Rui: “The Italian Championships always have a particular charm. They are one-day races where anything can happen and yet they award an important title. Among the professionals, our goal will be to stand out, aware that the comparison with the best Italian cycling athletes will not be easy at all. Among the Under 23s we will try to play our cards as best we can, especially with the climbers, given that we will be racing on a very demanding route.”

On the Zalf Euromobil Désirée Fior noticeboard there are 30 tricolor jerseys, the latest one was won by Gabriele Benedetti in 2021.
