Towards transport with capacity tests
First day reserved for porters, but today and tomorrow doors open to aspiring porters. Then, at the end of July, the evaluation of those who signed up but who, for certified reasons, did not show up. Intense days for the porters, busy, at the end of the tests, with the test of the pylon from Piazza del Comune to Piazza del Teatro, scheduled for 7 July.
Friends, family and authorities present
Last night, as per tradition, the Church of Peace was invaded by family and friends of the porters and by the authorities. The commissioner, the prefect and representatives of the police were present, fascinated by the spectacle and the effort of carrying 150 kilos on their shoulders.
