Rainbow of Summer, “event that enhances the entire agricultural world”

Grosseto, 21 June 2024 – “Tuscany Summer Rainbow it is an initiative that enhances the agricultural world. This is why we accepted La Nazione’s proposal.”

So the director of Confagricoltura GrossetoPaolo Rossi, in commenting on the participation in the project by the association of the agricultural world through the presence, next Tuesday, of some associated companies who will offer their products in the context of the buffet set up at the visitor center of the Maremma Park.

“If Tuscany is what we see today – says Rossi – it is due to the work of man who, in his wisdom and search for beauty, created it. The rows of cypress trees would not be there as well as the villages and hills skilfully interspersed with arable land with trees. Not everything is beautiful in nature and the beauty is also knowing how to shape the environment with respect for it. This is especially true in internal areas, which cover more than half of the whole of Italy and include more than 50% of the total municipalities. in which almost 13 million people live, which is equivalent to 22% of the Italian population. Precisely these areas, rich in history and torn from nature, could become decisive in overcoming the future challenges of family agricultural businesses”.

La Sapienza University of Rome recently presented a project, under the aegis of Confagricoltura, to train area managers with the aim of promoting the potential of these territories and rural villages, promoting their competitiveness.

“Welcoming – continues Rossi – will be the key to developing these areas, effectively and systematically combating abandonment in the medium term. Agriculture must respond to the growing demand for sustainability policies and the protection of environmental heritage Thus the strength of the university project is the involvement of family farms together with other stakeholders in order to revitalize the territory. In particular, the managers who emerge will be able to create and manage networks between different subjects: agricultural, agritourism, food and wine businesses. , crafts, parks and local institutions, capable of giving value, integrating them to guarantee the promotion of the territories. It is a pride to have launched this project together with the University which has identified rural hospitality as the means to preserve the identities of local communities , create synergies, thus avoiding the abandonment of internal areas”.

The plan on Tuesday includes the meeting in Alberese at 5pm (at the Park Visit Centre), at 5.30pm departure for the walk together with the guides on the “A6” itinerary (wildlife route), at 7.15pm return to Alberese and followed by the tasting of typical local products offered by Confagricoltura. Participation is free, but reservations must be made by calling 0564 – 393238. There are 80 places available.
