Ciro Polito is the new sporting director of US Catanzaro. Today he signed the contract that binds him for two years – with an option for a third – to the Giallorossi club. The 45-year-old from Naples, in Bari for the last three seasons after having held the role of sporting director of Juve Stabia and Ascoli, closes the renewal of the management framework after the arrival of the new general director Paolo Morganti.
«A new era begins», commented the new sporting director. «Football is made up of cycles – added Polito – what Catanzaro has done in recent seasons has been incredible, but now it is right to re-found with the desire to live up to what has been built and the ambitions of the club. After the extraordinary results obtained in the three years spent in Bari, among which I include a very difficult salvation to obtain which I put all my strength, I decided to make all my skills available to Catanzaro. What convinced me was the direct call from the president Floriano Noto, one of the few who at these levels, in a scenario dominated by investment funds, embodies the figure of an ownership directly involved in management, with solid values and a strong connection with the market .
