At the center of the meeting is the Director Maria Cerzoso who illustrates the historical path of the Museum, inaugurated in the fifteenth-century monumental complex of Sant’Agostino on 17 October 2009, a cultural center of the City of Cosenza which hosts not only a permanent archaeological exhibition but also temporary exhibitions, concerts and institutional meetings.

In fact, in conjunction with the study conference, there was also the FINISSAGE of the “Locus, Loci” exhibition which opened the PRIMAVERA MEDITERRANEA exhibition, in which
28 contemporary artists exhibited their works for approximately three months.

Following are the interventions of: Paola Aurino, ABAP superintendent for the province of Cosenza

Francesco Alimena Municipal councilor delegated to the historic centre

The unitary thought that emerges was to guarantee through a museum mission, an educational and reception system, a program implemented through funds for the removal of architectural barriers in cultural sites, a renewal that will
allow greater access and participation in culture, especially those with disabilities.
According to Aurino, the initiative was also carried out thanks to a collaboration agreement between the Superintendence and the archaeological park of Sibari for the transfer of the assets, making them usable and restoring their identity history to the citizens of Cosenza.
