A week was enough to aggravate the dramatic state of affairs that a building in the Scavone public housing complex has been in for months. Despite periodic reports from residents to the autonomous public housing institute of Caltanissetta, the basements continue to be submerged in water and in three apartments the humidity continues to rise. But if there is never an end to the worst, here in a house the kitchen flooring floods, preventing regular use by the elderly resident who lives there alone. The difficulties are increasing dramatically, but no quick and concrete resolution can be glimpsed on the horizon considering the almost non-existent interest on the part of the autonomous social housing institute of Caltanissetta. The exasperation grows, but consequently also the awareness of feeling cornered, forgotten and abandoned in a building which, of historic construction, is almost falling to pieces.
