Benelli Leoncino Bobber V2 400: is a new cruiser coming to Pesaro? – News

Bold style and accessible price: the first bobber with the Pesaro brand was unveiled in Beijing and its arrival in Europe is anything but imaginative. Let’s see what it’s about

June 20, 2024

TOAt the Beijing fair, at the Benelli stand, a particular bobber was on display, complete with a little lion on the mudguard. The design recalls that of the scrambler we know in particular in the shape of the tank and in some stylistic details, but it’s about a new product designed to hit the Asian public, apparently increasingly attracted by modern naked bikes, but which could also be of interest here.

V2 engine and strong look

TOUnlike the previous Leoncino models, equipped with a single-cylinder or in-line twin-cylinder engine, the “Bobber 400” sports a Liquid-cooled V2 engine 385cc that delivers 35 HP of power. Combined with a 6-speed gearbox, this engine promises smooth and pleasant delivery but above all in full cruiser style. The matt black 2-into-2 exhaust and drive belt complete the typical picture of the segment. However, the design of this “Leoncino Bobber” combines classic and modern elements. The short tail and 16-inch wheels with generously proportioned tires are distinctive features of its bobber style, while the upside-down telescopic fork at the front and the monoshock at the rear aim for handling and comfort but also for a “power cruiser” effect. The steel frame, disc brakes with ABS and the rectangular LED headlight complete a strong and personal look.

Ready for 2025?

Cith its 35 HP, the Leoncino Bobber 400 would fit perfectly inside the A2 driving licence, making it an interesting choice for novice riders who want a bike with a bold character and fun to ride as well as for returning riders who like a low seat, comfortable position. So we believe that it could be an attractive motorbike also in the Old Continent and not just in Asia. For this reason we hypothesize that his arrival is anything but to be ruled out. The price would certainly be very competitive: our hypothesis is that it could be offered for less than 6,000 eurostherefore approximately at the same price as the Leoncino 500. In short, we would not be surprised to see it appear at the autumn shows also because it is not a prototype but a new model already ready to hit the roads in 2025 which takes advantage of a QJ Motor platform or that of the SRV 350 VSevolution of the SRV 300 currently present on our market.
