ANCONA – From Ancona “Raffaello Sanzio” Airport to the Italian business capital: Ancona International Airport Spa, the Marche Region and Confapi Industria Ancona organized a day in Milan with entrepreneurs and journalists, to spread awareness of the direct return flight Ancona-Milan-Ancona with the Sky Alps airline. The participants had the opportunity to appreciate the convenience of using the departure/return to the Marche capital within half a day, optimizing the time dedicated to the trip, and at a lower price than the most common travel solutions.

«The idea – explained Michele Montecchiani, Director of Confapi Industria Ancona – was born during a dinner organized by Confapi in Ancona in recent weeks, with a group of entrepreneurs. The owner of one of our associated companies called me at 7.30pm to confirm that he would have joined us shortly thereafter, despite having left on a flight to Milan the same morning: he had just returned to Marche Airport. Talking about it with the other entrepreneurs at the table, we thought what an interesting opportunity it would be to be able to take advantage of a same-day return flight to Milan. For this reason we wanted to organize a trip from Ancona, to spread the convenience of a trip which, without the need for overnight stays, allows you to spend an entire working day in Milan for meetings, fairs, refresher courses, appointments with customers , and then return home in the evening. I shared the idea both with Alexander D’Orsogna, CEO of Ancona International Airport, and with the Marche Region, and we then organized the initiative with them. The event was also an opportunity for networking between entrepreneurs and institutional relations, thanks to the meeting with the Confapi Milan delegation and with the Vice President of the Lombardy Region Marco Alparone at the Palazzo della Regione”.

“We believe that synergy and collaboration are always an excellent key to promoting initiatives in the territory. In this perspective – said the President of the Marche Region Francesco Acquaroli – goes the initiative promoted together with Confapi Marche and the Airport that wants to promote the opportunity of continuity flight, which I remind is a public service supported by the Government and the Region. The goal is to overcome isolation and promote the fast connection of the Marche with the main national hubs and, consequently, also on an international scale for all citizens, for tourists and especially for businesses that, to be competitive, must be able to easily connect to the rest of the world and be easily reachable. Therefore, days like the one organized today are welcome, aimed at promoting this precious opportunity for connection”.

“We immediately accepted the proposal of the Director of Confapi Industria Ancona, Michele Montecchiani – says Alexander D’Orsogna, CEO of Ancona International Airport – as we firmly believe in the usefulness of the connection with Milan Linate, especially for business traffic. The territorial continuity flights to Milan, Rome and Naples represent a great opportunity for the entire territory of the Marche region. We are working side by side with the airline to provide a quality service to our passengers. Furthermore, now from Milan Linate it is possible to reach the center of Milan in less than a quarter of an hour thanks to a direct connection with the metro”.
