GALLARATE – “Today it has been 264 days, compared to the 60 foreseen by the regional regulation, that the over 13 thousand signatories of the petition for the maintenance of the Gallarate Hospital have been waiting for a response from the Lombardy Region”. This was written by the Objective Comune Gallarate group, with a note signed by the board of directors.

The signatories are Celeste Parachini, Betty Asnaghiv, Marcello Stanzione, Stefano Matta, Gabriele Zenoni, Henry Maffiolini and Gianmarco Morazzoni. “While we wait, we want to express our sincere thanks to the minority councilors Ferrazzi (first signatory), Licata and Astuti and to the majority Gallizzi, for having asked the Council to express with a clear vote which health services it intends to leave in Gallarate”.

“The response, not at all obvious after the bombastic proclamations, was bitterly clear and firm: once its hospital has been decommissioned, there will be nothing left in Gallarate. Finished. Everything closed except the Boito pavilion. Finally, the political majority that governs the region has removed its mask, confirming that, despite the usual chatter, it does not want to underwrite in any way that “significant territorial functions” should be located in the spaces of what will be the former S.Antonio Abate. . Nothing more.”
