Asia announces that it has established a specific control and surveillance service in order to assist the municipal police in the fight against the illicit dumping of waste at the ecopoints serving the districts.

Specifically, the Company, with the help of its staff, will intensify checks through supervision and screening of images from the video surveillance system. The checks will be increased especially at the weekend, this is because according to union ordinance n.135433/2022 the dumping of waste at the ecopoints is prohibited on Saturday afternoons and Sundays and is only allowed from Monday to Friday between 7 am and 7pm, and on Saturdays from 7am to 2pm.

Citizens will be able to place only the following fractions in the appropriate bins: undifferentiated, paper and small cardboard, multi-material, glass, organic. Other fractions of waste, such as particularly bulky cardboard packaging, bulky items, batteries, used oils, electrical and electronic equipment cannot be abandoned on the ground and must be taken to the municipal eco-centre located in the Fontana Margiacca district .

Infringements detected by company staff will be promptly reported to the municipal police so that they can apply the relevant sanctions. Violators are subject to a fine ranging between 25 and 500 euros. Furthermore, please note that anyone who abandons waste is punished with a criminal fine ranging from one to 10 thousand euros. The penalty is increased up to double if the abandonment concerns hazardous waste.
