Devices and 11 kilos of explosives seized
The criminals, according to what emerged from the investigations, acted with their faces covered and also armed with homemade explosive devices with which they accessed the money deposits. After having carried out the heist, the robbers, in order not to be reached by the police forces, threw spiked bands on the asphalt, also putting the policemen’s safety at risk. The gang was well organised: before acting, they carefully studied the areas, the routes to follow, the escape routes and the positioning of the city video surveillance cameras. After the robbery, they used powerful cars, often stolen or rented, to escape as quickly as possible. All the stolen goods were immediately resold. Investigators seized several devices, wigs, burglary tools and approximately 11 kilos of explosives. The recovered stolen cars were returned to their rightful owners.
