It all begins on the evening of 17 June 2024 in via Filippo Re in the historic center of Reggio Emilia
The chain
REGGIO EMILIA – Together with a friend he was walking through the streets of the historic center of Reggio Emilia when he was approached by two young foreigners who insistently asked him for a cigarette. At a certain point one of the two hit him in the chest with a fist and then tore off the chain around his neck which, by a completely fortuitous event, fell to the ground.
He raised the alarm
The two then disappeared with the victim, a 20-year-old resident of Scandiano, who, having collected the chain which returned to his possession, raised the alarm to the police who, during the searches, tracked down the material perpetrator of the criminal episode. For these reasons, on charges of attempted robbery, the carabinieri of the mobile radio section of the Reggio Emilia company reported a 21-year-old living in Fornovo di Taro to the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Reggio Emilia, directed by the prosecutor Calogero Gaetano Paci.
Further investigations
Investigative investigations are underway to trace the suspect’s friend and verify whether he was involved in the robbery attempt. The proceeding, in the preliminary investigation phase, will continue with the usual investigative investigations for the purpose of evaluations and determinations inherent to the exercise of criminal action.
