Rimini, Morra and Lamesta are tempting. Benevento doesn’t spare any expense

It could be understood with some ease that Claudio Morra and Davide Lamesta would sooner or later be the undisputed protagonists of the summer transfer market. Now the worst nightmare of Rimini fans is taking shape. Because what comes forward, for both, is that Benevento which has no shortage of ideas and economic possibilities. According to the rumors coming from Campania, president Vigorito’s club already has an agreement with the players and with the Piazzale del Popolo club. With lots of euros to pay the release clause, in Morra’s case, ready for the Benevento-Rimini ‘journey’. In all of this obviously, in addition to the will of the two Piedmontese strikers (19 goals for Morra and 9 for Lamesta last season in the championship alone), there is also that of president Di Salvo’s club to satisfy. But Benevento is not the only club to have moved. From Veneto they are focusing heavily on Morra. Both Padua and Vicenza. A real auction to grab the Piedmontese striker who, however, still has two years left on his contract with Rimini. What is certain today is that the Romagna management will have to, in case they do not want to monetize, defend their jewels with their teeth until the last second of the last day of the summer transfer market.

But that is not all. Because it must be added that soon, or rather probably very soon, Rimini will also lose Nicola Pietrangeli. For him, and this is nothing new, there is a three-year contract ready with Sudtirol. The agreement had narrowly collapsed in the last winter transfer market (with the defender remaining in the checkered shirt until the end of the season), but now sporting director Paolo Bravo’s club has returned to the attack with determination. In the middle, a story from no more than a few months ago, there is the renewal of the red and white contract that Pietrangeli signed until 2026. However, this would not seem to block the path to the Roman centre-back, but only benefit Rimini who would otherwise have lost the free transfer player. We have to believe that from today onwards we will really start dancing and the red and whites will have to be ready when it comes time to take to the dance floor.
