We decided to publish the post by Francesco Cannizzaro, Forza Italia MP, leader of Berlusconi’s party in Calabria. The hope that the mobilization to save our beautiful land questioned by Calderoli and companions, who have only one interest in dividing the country, can start from our Region. Now the Calabrians must react forcefully to save the Region from the attempt to starve it.
HERE IS FRANCESCO CANNIZZARO’S POST
I am a Deputy of #Calabria, I represent my territory. Exercising this function, I decided not to participate in the legislative process and then in the vote on #DifferentiatedAutonomy,
while admitting that the Calderoli bill was “softened” thanks to the interventions of my Party.
I didn’t get a sudden fever, I didn’t get an urgent phone call from home.
I DECIDED NOT TO BE PRESENT.
I did it together with the other Calabrian deputies of Forza Italia, deserting the Chamber, while other colleagues, CALABRESI, from other parties, decided to vote in favor. And it outrages me (quite a bit) to see the Calabrian flag waved by representatives of the League in such a controversial and questionable climate.
WE, Calabrians, southerners, even before being members of a party and of the Government, have been coherent, we have not voted for the law by personal decision, exercising the freedom of conscience that has always existed in Forza Italia and for which I thank the National secretary Antonio Tajani.
Others “couldn’t” do it.
Calabria is not an instrument.
And it is certainly not the one that waved our coat of arms in Parliament.
