There is also 3.5 million euros for the Ravenna ferry in the change to the 2024 budget of the Emilia Romagna Region. The deputy commission approved the maneuver which is worth 100 million euros from regional resources alone, and which, having had the favorable opinion of all the assembly commissions, will be voted on by the Legislative Assembly. In particular, the 3.5 million allocated will be used for the purchase of an electric ferry that will connect Porto Corsini to Marina di Ravenna.
For some time there have been inefficiencies for users due to the age of the vehicle and so it was decided to purchase a new electric ferry. The total cost is 5 million euros divided as follows: 3.5 million from the Emilia Romagna Region, 800 thousand from the Ministry of Transport, 500 thousand from the Municipality of Ravenna through Snam compensation for the Punta Marina regasification terminal, 200 thousand from Start Romagna which manages the service and will receive 150 thousand euros from the Region to strengthen it.
The technical specifications of the specifications developed by Start Romagna in 2023 describe it as 40 meters long, of which 30 are bridge, and 10 meters wide, capable of carrying 20/22 cars and 200 pedestrians.
