With the final overnight approval of the law on differentiated autonomy, the right-wing majority in parliament has established a principle: Italian citizens are NO longer all equal before the law. It is the triumph of the league’s original plan: to shatter the country by breaking the bond of unity and national solidarity. And the waving of the Po Valley flags in the chamber proves it. Brothers of Italy and Forza Italia, accomplices, pay the price of an unholy pact. Autonomy is given to the league, the separation of careers is due to Italy and the premiership is given to the brothers of Italy. And it is national solidarity, democracy and impartial judgment that pay the price. We will oppose this measure with every democratic means. We do not resign ourselves to seeing our country become more unjust and selfish. More than ever, we need the unity of all the oppositions and the mobilization of citizens to counter and stop an irresponsible government.
