Milan, 16 June 2024 – It is always said that the in-between seasons are no longer there, but this spring it was the exception, at least in Lombardy: cool until the end, very variable, extremely rainy. So much so that until last night there were flooding caused by storms, this time in the province of Varese. But now that we have arrived at the gates of summer – the summer solstice will occur at 10.51pm (Italian time) on June 20th, Thursday – the question arises spontaneously: but when does the heat arrive? In fact, with the beginning of the astrological summer, a change of pace in temperatures that we have felt so far in the north.
The heat is arriving in Lombardy
The improvement starts today, Sunday 16 June, with the comeback of the anticyclone which will favor large clearings and dry weather. Anticyclone which will further strengthen in the first days of next week, guaranteeing mostly stable and sunny weather and a hotter and more muggy climate, with maximum temperatures in the plains of up to 30-32 degrees.
