SIENA-Double leap for Matteo Alpini who from B, where he played for Kabel Volley Prato, goes directly to A2 strongly supported by the club and the technical staff of Emma Villas Siena who saw him several times during the last season and signed him up for next season. Alpini also took part in the training carried out at PalaEstra at the end of the season together with other interesting young prospects. Now the transfer to the Sienese club has materialized for him where he hopes to show all his great qualities. Last season Alpini, twenty-three years old and 196 cm tall, played a double role, both as a 4th and opposite position. Among other things, he was the best spiker in the championship in terms of statistics relating to performance and points scored.

« I dreamed of an experience like this. I trained at PalaEstra at the end of the season, it was an important day for me and I tried to present myself at my best. I immediately had good feelings, and now I am happy to be able to play in Siena and to be coached by coach Gianluca Graziosi. I believe that he is a coach with excellent qualities, and throughout his career he has also always shown that he knows how to work very well with young people. Already during the training I did at PalaEstra he gave me a lot of useful advice on how to improve.”
Alpini will therefore get to play in Serie A2.
« For me it will certainly be stimulating and exciting to play in this category. I will go and train with players of great experience and excellent quality. I have always seen volleyball players like Gabriele Nelli and Luigi Randazzo on television, now I will be their teammate. This year I followed the A2 series tournament, I also watched many Siena matches. I saw a gritty and motivated team. Emma Villas has reached the playoff final, I hope that the same objective can be achieved next season too.”
