“This morning half of Italy disappeared, the South no longer exists”

The Chamber of Deputies voted for the Differential Autonomy Reform also with the complicit and guilty vote of the Majority Deputies from the South.
It is unfortunate because politics has failed – once again – to fulfill its commitment to protecting the rights of all citizens; I’m sorry because this measure voted at dawn by one of the two branches of Parliament is nothing more than the result of a blackmail agreement between FDI and LEGA, with the former having brought home the reform of the Premiership yesterday and the latter carrying out the dream of secessionism.
The principle of national solidarity is one of the fundamental cornerstones of our Constitution… they have trampled on it. –
This is what the Regional Councilor of Calabria, Giuseppe Graziano, as well as president of Azione Calabria, declared following the vote of the Chamber of Deputies which, with 172 votes in favour, 99 against and one abstention, voted on the DDL on Differentiated Regionalism which, thus, becomes Law.
Just yesterday, Graziano himself, together with the Secretary of Action Calabria, his colleague Francesco De Nisi, had launched an appeal to the Deputies of the South to act as interpreters of a “civil and democratic protest” by voting NO to the measure.
“Unfortunately – said Graziano – we were not listened to and this certainly places us in a state of deep reflection”.
